  • On Feb. 24, 2026, Rachel Costello of Hickory Point Bank and Chris Ellis and Devon Joyner of Old King's Orchard joined Byers and Co on a podcast to explain how their community connections support youth and families + strengthen local ties.  Now Decatur
  • United Way of Decatur & Mid Illinois will host its inaugural Power of the Purse event on Thursday, April 9 at the Mt. Zion Convention Center to benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and youth programs, featuring auctions, raffles, cocktail & dinner, with more than 200 community members expected to attend.  Now Decatur
  • Yesterday, Feb. 24, ADM and the Decatur Fire Department completed their first carbon capture sequestration tabletop drill at the Sequestration Education Center at Richland Community College. The drill simulated a well-site incident (flange and gasket failure) and strengthened emergency response communication for future collaboration.  Now Decatur

  • Foreigner will perform Tuesday, August 4 at Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater with special guest Goodbye June. Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27 (prices range from $69 to $119 plus fees).  Now Decatur
