- ➤ The Mt Zion Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Expo & Taste on Saturday, April 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Mt Zion Convention Center. - ➤ A Decatur man told police he heard ten to fifteen gunshots between 7:50 p.m. and 8:13 p.m. Thursday on West Johnson Avenue—bullets ricocheted off a fence and trees near his yard. Herald & Review

- ➤ According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Illinois Department of Employment Security, Decatur’s not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 6.7 percent in January last year to 6.0 percent this January. - ➤ Richland Community College reported a 9.1% rise in spring enrollment on March 23 with over 2,500 students, including more than 1,000 dual credit enrollees and nearly 600 in career and technical programs—most taking courses part-time.
