  • Decatur drivers face steep gas prices as oil costs rise amid international tensions. AAA reports local fuel now costs between $4.19 and $4.29 per gallon as of Tuesday.  WAND
  • Gasoline prices in Illinois have risen 8.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $4.27 today, according to GasBuddy (4,378 stations surveyed). They are 81 cents higher than last month and 79 cents higher than last year, with prices ranging from $3.37 to $5.49.  Decatur Tribune

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Millikin University’s graduate nursing programs were recognized on April 7 in rankings by U.S. News and World Report. The Doctor of Nursing Practice program ranked No. 4 statewide and the Nurse Anesthesia program ranked No. 2, underscoring strong academic rigor and clinical training.  Now Decatur
  • Spring Birds & Blooms workshop takes place April 11 at Rock Springs Nature Center in Decatur.   • More than 200 Macon County fifth-graders explored modern agriculture at the annual Agucation event on April 7 at Richland Community College.
