- ➤ The Decatur Fire Department investigated a suspicious fire at a vacant home on East Wood Street (near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive) Monday night as firefighters arrived at 9:11 p.m., deployed a master stream and aerial ladders to control the blaze, and found no one inside while the cause remains under investigation. - ➤ The City of Decatur is urging residents with homes built before 1945 to check the water line map and schedule a free inspection for galvanized lines that may expose them to lead.
