- ➤ Antique tractor fans gathered downtown Argenta on Saturday at the Farming in the 50s show where Bob Johnson displayed his rare 1919 A.D. Baker steam engine—the only Baker running in the state among just five in total—and other vintage tractors once used on local farms. Organizer Martin Bayless said the event, now in its fourth year, brought 95 tractor owners together to celebrate local agricultural heritage. Herald & Review

- ➤ Oscar M. McCurry, a 38-year-old man from Macon, was charged with three felonies after stealing a squad car, brandishing a shotgun, and wielding a machete at a gas station parking lot on May 3—his court date is set for Monday, May 12. WAND

- ➤ Millikin University will honor more than 280 graduates from the Class of 2025 at a Spring Commencement held on May 18 at Kirkland Fine Arts Center on campus. Two ceremonies will feature keynote and student speeches, allow up to seven guests per graduate, and offer a live stream for community members who cannot attend — ensuring all graduates are recognized.
