- ➤ A storm tore trees and branches across Decatur late Friday, and neighbor Karl Ziemer helped pile debris with a friend on Monday. The city will collect limbs no longer than eight feet on May 27—residents needing pickup must call 217-875-4820 by May 23. WAND
- ➤ Two local organizations partnered with The Heart of Cabi Foundation, God’s Shelter of Love and Good Samaritan Inn will host the Love Local event in Decatur to offer free clothing, jewelry, accessories and toiletries for women in need. - ➤ Decatur police reported two people (one a teen) were shot near Woodford and Walnut Streets just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, and both victims are expected to recover as the investigation continues. WAND
