- ➤ Non-emergency lane closures are suspended from 3 p.m. Friday, May 22, to 11:59 p.m. Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day weekend travel, the Illinois Department of Transportation said. Selected lanes in Iroquois, Champaign, McLean, Piatt, Vermilion, Christian, Sangamon and Effingham counties remain closed (drivers should use caution in construction zones). WAND
