- ➤ Bradley Lund, 8, died Monday (at HSHS St. John's in Springfield) after suffering multiple blunt force injuries from a crash in late April when a woman drove through an after-school program in Chatham, killing four other children and injuring six. WAND

- ➤ On June 2 at 9:50 a.m., Macon Co. deputies responded to a Forsyth home where they found two deceased residents—detectives and state police investigators are examining the case and report no danger to the community. Decatur Tribune

- ➤ The 2025 Farm Progress Show will return to Decatur from Aug. 26th–28th near Richland Community College and is set to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors by featuring new ag technology, live field demonstrations, and an interactive drone program. - ➤ Ameren's electricity price increased by 50 percent on Sunday as its supplier raised summer energy costs, which means typical bills will be 18-22 percent higher from June-September before returning to normal in October. The Citizens Utility Board advised customers to ask Ameren about payment plans and energy efficiency programs rather than switching providers since nearly all companies face the same charge increases.
