The new Tillamook Decatur plant opened Wednesday with a ceremonial ice cream scooping and is expected to produce 6 million gallons of ice cream by the end of 2025 in family size cartons and 3-gallon foodservice containers.

Tillamook also donated $50,000 to local charities (20K to the Decatur Park District, 20K to the Good Samaritan Inn, 5K to Northeast Community Fund’s Farm to Fund program, and 5K to the Macon County Fair) to benefit the community.

A takeout-only Buffalo Wild Wings Go will open on Mount Zion Road this summer — operated by 99Wings LLC, which is linked to a local Jimmy Johns franchise owner.

The restaurant will offer the standard menu without alcohol, accept orders online or in person, and create 12 to 18 jobs.

On June 4th, 2025, Decatur Police issued 17 citations during their Memorial Day enforcement campaign—also making five DUI arrests, one fugitive apprehension and citing violations for seat belts, child car seats, suspended licenses and distracted driving.
