  • On June 16, the Decatur Park District held its free Moonlight Yoga session at Devon led by Yoga with Connie—offering a relaxing yet challenging practice that welcomed all ages and encouraged participants to bring a mat, towel, and water. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Decatur Police responded at 3:11 p.m. on June 13 to a crash at Rock Springs Road and Westgate Drive when 68-year-old Paul A. Lyons was killed after his 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser turned into traffic and was hit by a Chevrolet 1500 driven by an 18-year-old, who suffered minor injuries—Lyons was pronounced dead at a local hospital.  ABC 20
  • On June 13, 2025, Decatur police responded to a crash at the intersection of W Rock Springs Road and Westgate Drive when a red 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by a 68-year-old turned right into the path of a tan Chevrolet 1500 truck driven by an 18-year-old—he sustained serious injuries, was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead while investigators continue probing the crash under report number 25005546.  Fox Illinois

  • A tragic crash on June 15 claimed the life of a 12-year-old bicyclist in Decatur when he was struck at 4:59 p.m. at the intersection of North Van Dyke and West King Streets by a 2011 Dodge Challenger driven by a 45-year-old resident—arrested on charges of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Death—as investigators continue their probe.  ABC 20
