Good morning, Decatur.

The Devon is hosting its annual Movies Under the Stars event with free screenings of Barbie on July 26 and Remember the Titans on August 16—gates open at 7:30 p.m. with movies starting at dusk.

Attendees must bring their own lawn chairs or blankets if they plan to sit on the terrace—outside food and drinks are not allowed.

About 25 local educators attended the Ag in the Classroom program at Perfect Pair on July 10, where they learned about dairy cows, cattle breeds, and funding opportunities for field trips.

The event helped teachers prepare to bring agriculture into their classrooms and plan a future visit to the Illinois Raptors Center in Decatur — a chance to take students outside and learn about farm life.

Today, Decatur Public Schools began online registration through Skyward and it will run until July 31 so school officials can assign classes, plan schedules and map bus routes — parents must update vaccination records by October 15 to ensure students can attend without delay.
