- ➤ Macon County Coroner Michael D. Burkham identified Dale D. Dalluge and Delores A. Dalluge, a married couple who perished when their Warrensburg home exploded around 4:21 p.m. on Sunday — firefighters quickly contained the blaze as the investigation into the cause continues. ABC 20
- ➤ The Decatur Fire Department responded on Saturday to a house fire at 1237 E Whitmer and quickly extinguished flames and ventilated the roof after smoke was seen near the front door, with a resident and his dog already out and no injuries reported. Fox Illinois

- ➤ Decatur Police arrested Morgan Russell for aggravated battery after officers responded to a July 13 call at Sundown Lounge in Decatur—where they found a 54-year-old with a stab wound to the abdomen who was taken to Decatur Memorial Hospital—and Russell is now booked in Macon County Jail. WAND
