Good morning, Decatur.

LLCU donated $10,000 to Decatur Public School District #61 to sponsor its 55th Annual Decatur Turkey Tournament as part of a five-year commitment that began in 2022—incoming tournament director Craig Bundy accepted the donation after Mel Roustio retired, and the tournament will be held November 25th to 29th at Stephen Decatur Middle School.

On August 10th, the 217 ALZ Wiffleball Championship took place in a backyard setting to support Alzheimer’s research—raising over $800,000 during its 10th year.

The event began as a small tournament and has grown into one of the region’s top summer classics.
