- ➤ Five people were charged after a two-day operation in the Forsyth area of Macon County to combat human trafficking—Thad Olson, Robert Danbury, David Martin, Benito Rojas-Martinez, and Luke Nguyen were arrested. Decatur Radio
- ➤ A Decatur teacher from Eisenhower High School was arrested in a sting operation on charges of traveling to meet a minor and indecent solicitation and is barred from contacting anyone under 18—he made his first court appearance Monday and will return in September. ABC 20

- ➤ Millikin University's Kirkland Fine Arts Center announced its season calendar on August 26, which includes family-friendly shows, ballets, musicals, orchestras and concerts.
