Good morning, Decatur.

Operation Enduring Support, a local faith based group at Grace Methodist Church in Decatur, is collecting items that do not spoil and money to prepare care packages with snacks and hygiene supplies for U.S. troops overseas—donations will be accepted until November 20.

The group hopes the packages will bring comfort to service members during the holiday season.

Twenty-one vintage photos of Decatur high school life show students at games, dances — and other events, capturing the community's spirited past and vibrant school traditions.

Today, Eisenhower High School cancelled classes due to technology issues—other district schools stayed open as the district works to restore the essential tech infrastructure.

On October 5th, IDPH released updated vaccine guidance for influenza, RSV, and COVID-19 and issued a statewide standing order that lets pharmacies and clinical centers give COVID-19 shots (based on advice from public health experts) to improve access before the winter surge.

The guidance also supports the CDC schedule for other vaccines to help keep preventive care on track.
