- ➤ Residents are invited to join CONO (Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations) meeting on October 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Madden Room in Decatur Public Library at 130 North Franklin Street, where they can share neighborhood project ideas and concerns. The one-hour meeting is held monthly and welcomes anyone interested in starting or joining a neighborhood group. Decatur Tribune

- ➤ Musician Jake Tolbert is searching Decatur for fiddles made by George Crowder in his west side basement workshop—he hopes to preserve Crowder’s legacy with these unique instruments. Herald & Review
- ➤ Lincoln Square Theater's president Lavelle Hunt recalled Ace Frehley's June 2024 performance in Decatur as his planned Oct. 10 return was canceled due to health issues; his memory is honored through memorabilia on display (he died Thursday at age 74). WAND
